OUR HOMETOWN

MY HOMETOWN

The city of Murcia was founded in 831 by Abd-Al-Rahman II on a privileged location, in the centre of the Valley of the River Segura. Murcia was situated in the south of Spain and it has a big beautiful coast called Mar Menor.

People from Europe, especially from England, Germany and Denmark, come to Spain to spend the rest of their life here. For that, many architects want to win a lot of money building paradises where foreigners spend their money; they create golf areas in Murcia, a city where there is an important lack of water, not taking into account that they are destroying the ecosystem.

The region of Murcia has the typical Mediterranean semi-arid subtropical climate; that is, an average annual temperature of 18ºC, with hot summers (registering absolute maximum temperatures of 40ºC) and mild winters (an average temperature of 11ºC in the winter months of December and January).

Definitely, Marcia’s weather, landscape and atmosphere make of it a good place to live in.
